I am one of those lucky people who discovered my passion for art at an early age. My childhood heroes were Charles Birchfield, Vincent Van Gogh, and Edward Hopper.
After a lifetime of painting, these great artists still inspire me. My paintings celebrate the joy of color and light that I fell in love with as a child. When I paint, I completely immerse myself. Time has no meaning. My paintings flow from a place of deep joy and innocence within. I paint outside when the colors are most alive, immediate and real.
Early morning or late afternoon are my favorite times to paint. The world is a joyous celebration of color and light that nurtures my love of life, and inner child’s joy.
